Die Another Day (2002) - So, you live to die another day... Colonel !
Lovely scene from the last of the James Bond movies starring Pierce Brosnan, Toby Stephens and Rosamund Pike.
Bond has finally realised that Gustav Graves is in fact an enemy, Colonel Moon, who has been transformed from Oriental to Westerner through advanced therapy.
However, in the course of exposing one deception, Bond is made aware of another. I love the looks on Bronan's face.
I don't like the background behind Brosnan when he first appears, though. It is supposed to be the Icelandic landscape but is probably a painting. With the budget they had, you'd think that it would be more realistic.

Reminds me of when I was a teen and my dad would always watch this at 9pm. And my dad drove a Ford Granada Consul GT in metallic bronze as well, at the same time the show was running.

I’m 16, and I love this book so much, that I finished reading And Then There Were None A WHOLE WEEK before all the kids in my class. I also was so interested on who U.N. Owen was, and who the true murderer is SPOILER: It’s Wargrave.

Ya never really know but instead of his newly Standard Issue Walther P99 9x19mm Parabellum Bond in this scene uses his old 8 Round Magazine Standard Issue Walther PPK 7.65x17mm (.32 ACP) as a backup piece along with Extra Ammo 4 it as Bond's clearly/obviously going 2 shoot her in the chest with his old Walther PPK after finding her out the hard way Miranda Frost without Bulletproof/Bullet Resistant Armor Vest in a way is like you'll never have enough bullets 2 kill me Mister Bond/I'm far 2 strong 💪/tough 😤 4 your old Walther's bullets Mister Bond no matter how many/much of them ya empty in2 my chest right 2 the point where he shoots her multiple/several times in the chest with that same Walther PPK she cackles like a hyena & continues cackling after/when getting hit in the chest by every round/more than every round from Bond's old Walther PPK hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I watched this show on ITV at the time and loved it. Rough and violent and when said ' You're nicked' you felt you were listening to a great actor,John Thaw RIP.

As I've just posted on twitter / X ... Nothing quite as iconic as The Sweeney's original opening & closing credits ... as an 11 yo watching on Television New Zealand's Channel One in 1975 I especially loved the more melancholic & world-weary closing ones with their slower tempo ... never forgotten the powerful feeling evoked.

In love with so much of the music from the series. Check out this upload that some brilliant person has shared. It's got almost everything. Really worth it to hear the opening and closing themes in full. The closing theme especially is taken to a new level played in its entirety. Enjoy! ua-cam.com/video/81pqqvTeltw/v-deo.htmlsi=kQJmIPpOK8cVYt3Y

When I was a little boy, I watched the show and was excited about two things. The opening credits and John Thaw. He was so cool. Sovereign and determined, he searched for the criminals. And most of the time it was the case that he got hurt a little bit every now and then. For example, in an episode where he was alone on the roof looking for someone and only a waitress from the pub below was on his side. Later ended up in the hospital and discussed with his superior. 🤓

One thing amongst several that annoyed me about this film was the plot hole of how MI6 - a government intelligence agency - were unaware that Miranda Frost and Colonel Moon were on the Harvard fencing team together. This is totally inconceivable. They'd have known both were educated at Harvard, so a little digging, and hey-presto!
